Who We Are
Grace Baptist Church (GBC), located in Charlottesville, Virginia is a Southern Baptist Church and is a part of the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia (SBCV). We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God and we are in agreement with The Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention June 14, 2000. GBC pastoral messages are typically expositional. We believe that preaching and teaching through a book of the Bible is the best way to learn God’s Word. In Sunday School we teach through one book of the Bible, in the morning worship service we preach through another book of the Bible and in the evening service another book of the Bible; learning three books of the Bible in parallel. Occasionally, we teach and/or preach on a particular topic. Our goal is to teach what the scripture means and to explain its relevance for today.
Grace Baptist Church is a small, friendly, country church. We love the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. We love singing the familiar hymns and also some of the newer Christian songs that have great messages.
